2.1 Demolition and Removal • Saw-cut and remove the existing concrete pad. • Break up and remove all concrete debris, including any underlying sub-base material as necessary. • Haul away and properly dispose of all waste material offsite in accordance with local regulations. • Protect adjacent structures, landscaping, and utilities during demolition. 2.2 Site Preparation • Grade and compact the subgrade to ensure a stable and level foundation. • Install a minimum [4" to 6"] layer of compacted crushed stone or gravel as the sub-base. • Ensure proper slope for drainage (typically 1/4 inch per foot, or as specified). 2.3 Formwork and Reinforcement • Set up forms to define the edges and shape of the new pad according to the specified dimensions. • Install reinforcement (rebar or wire mesh) as required by structural drawings or specifications. • Ensure expansion joints and control joints are placed in appropriate locations to minimize cracking. 2.4 Concrete Placement • Pour 8 inches thick concrete with a minimum compressive strength of [e.g., 5000 psi] or as specified. • Vibrate and finish the concrete to achieve a smooth, level surface or desired texture (e.g., broom finish). • Apply curing compound or cover to promote proper hydration and curing. 2.5 Cleanup and Final Inspection • Remove all formwork and clean up work area. • Backfill and compact any disturbed soil around the pad. • Final inspection with the client or representative to ensure the work meets expectations and specifications.
