• Collaborate closely with MSDE and LEAs during the initial planning phase. • Design professional learning workshops to focus on the standard progression of essential content (additive reasoning, multiplicative reasoning, fractions), development of conceptual understanding and procedural fluency with connection to mathematics education research and the utilization of the formative assessment system, including item back, content framework, and learning progression to analyze evidence in student work and make instructional. Ensure workshop participants have opportunities to connect learning to their district’s curriculum. • Collaborate with MSDE to ensure professional learning design meets expectations. • Facilitate at least (7) multi-day in-person workshops aligned to the outlined design at LEA selected sites. Content (additive reasoning, multiplicative reasoning, and fractions) and grade bands will be determined by selected LEAs by June 2025. • Collect daily feedback from workshop participants to guide planning for the next session. • Provide participants with access to an item bank to be used throughout the workshop and following workshop to allow participants to apply learning in the classroom with students. • Administer participant evaluations and share reports with MSDE following all workshops. • Develop and follow a strong communication plan with both MSDE and LEA.
