1. Contractors shall remove all underbrush, vegetation, pine trees under 24” DBH (diameter breast height), and hardwoods under 10” DBH. 2. All stumps and root balls are to be removed, leaving a smoothly graded surface. The contractor is responsible for utility locate tickets through 811 for any subsurface or grading work. 3. Work should not remove stabilized grass areas or require significant grading or disturbing of soils. Mulching of plant material is allowed on-site, but must be disposed of off-site by the contractor. 4. Trees that are preserved should be limbed up to an appropriate height for the size of the tree to maximize views. 5. All work must be contained to the area shown in the bid document and should not require any lane closures or negative impacts to the neighboring properties. 6. All work must be inspected and satisfactorily approved by the Public Works Superintendent and/or the Assistant Superintendent prior to demobilization or completion of the project.
