3.2. Deliverable Materials (to be provided by Contractor) A. Modular rink piping grid system for a 50’ x 85’ Ice Rink at 205 Saluda Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730 B. 150-ton portable refrigeration plan including all pumps, hoses, expansion tanks, etc. C. Propylene glycol coolant, transfer pump, and storage containers D. Insulation and vapor barriers (as required) E. Modular railing system with clear acrylic facing on the side facing the customer seating area. F. A minimum of 1,000 square feet of rubber floor covering for skate changing areas (30 – 6’ x 4’ rubber mats) G. A minimum of 250 pairs of rental skates of varying sizes. 1. The City reserves the right to reject any skates determined by the City not to be in usable condition. 2. Any skates rejected by the City must be replaced with usable skates by the contractor. H. Plastic skate aids (8) I. Ice Rink Maintenance Equipment – Ride-on mechanical resurfacer 1. The resurfacer does not need to be a Zamboni or a similar product. J. If the selected company uses a shipping container, that may be kept onsite during the course of the skating season. The container must be kept as far as possible from the rink and be in good repair and presentable. 3.3. Contractor Responsibilities A. Project management/consultation for complete installation and removal of a temporary ice skating rink. B. Supervision for set-up and take down. C. General labor for set-up and take down. D. All tools, equipment, and supplies for set-up, take down, and operation. E. Any debris should be removed following take down each year. F. The contractor is responsible for correcting any damage to the site and restoring to its original condition or better. G. Refrigeration technician on-call 24/7 while rink is present. The contractor is responsible for full communication with the chiller company and all other subcontractors. H. Commercial general liability for equipment/personnel negligence only, workers' compensation coverage, City added as an additional insured. See section 4.1 of this solicitation for full insurance requirements. I. All transportation and freight to/from factory storage is included. J. Access to allow an outside vendor to be able to post vinyl sponsorship decals on the outside of the rink walls. K. All calls should be responded to within one (1) hour. If on-site remedies are necessary, the contractor should be working to correct the issue within two (2) hours of the initial call. L. The contractor is responsible for all communications with the refrigeration technician.
