The current HVAC equipment in the PCCH building, with the exception of the basement, is considered outdated/obsolete. The new equipment installed shall be a heat recovery system, and all controls necessary allowing both heating and cooling to all zones. The County is open to other possible options in order to heat/cool the building, the controls for any such options need to integrate with our current BAS, unless any such new option includes a new BAS which could then be used for future HVAC upgrades/replacements in other County buildings. Any questions or concerns whether a different option adequately addresses the County’s needs will be answered by the County’s HVAC contractor. The HVAC equipment serving the PCCH building consists of multiple Trane rooftop cooling units, and multiple heat pumps, both single and multiple head units, of various manufacturers, with associated indoor equipment and controls. This document provides instructions for submitting proposals, the procedure, and criteria by which the awarded firm (Contractor) will be selected.
