1. This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is issued to procure the services of a Contractor who can provide telephonic language interpretation services, a Contractor capable of providing on-site language interpretation services and a Contractor capable of providing written document language translation services. All services shall be continuously available and shall be utilized on an as needed basis at MVA’s locations across the State of Maryland. 2. It is the State’s intention to obtain services, as specified in this IFB, from a contract between the selected Bidder(s) and the State of Maryland. 3. The MVA intends to award one (1) Contract to each Bidder whose Bid is deemed most advantageous to the State in each of the following Service Categories as follows: • Service Category 1: Telephonic Interpretation Services • Service Category 2: On-site Interpretation Services • Service Category 3: Written Document Language Translation Services 4. Bidders shall be able to provide all services and meet all the requirements requested in this solicitation for a minimum of one (1) service category; telephonic interpretation, onsite interpretation, and/or written document language translation. However, the same Bidder can be awarded a Contract for more than one service category. There will be a minimum of one (1) and a maximum of three (3) Contractors for all service categories. 5. A Contract award does not ensure a Contractor will receive all or any State business under the Contract.
