ASBESTOS Bulk samples were collected and analyzed in accordance with EPA 40 CFR Part 763.86 for asbestos content. Due to layering there were several separate analyses for the same sample. All building materials sampled were negative for asbestos content except for two (2) materials. Sample 25-23-S1 transite (asbestos) shingles on the top half of the front and rear exteriors of the Shop, and Samples 25-23-S5 & 25-23-S12 ceiling sheetrock over Styrofoam in Bay 4 and Bay 3 of the Shop. Removal of Asbestos should be conducted by personnel with Asbestos Removal training as required by OSHA and MDE. LEAD PAINT EVALUATION During the XRF examination lead-based paint was identified in the following locations: Building 1 – Shop Upper loft area, the entire tin floor is positive for LBP Building 2 – Spar Shed Interior window sash above the entry double door – positive for LBP Interior lintel above the entry double door – positive for LBP Exterior window sash above the double entry door – positive for LBP Building 3 – Icehouse No lead paint was discovered Renovation activities should be conducted by personnel with lead paint training as required by OSHA and MDE MOLD EVALUATION The demolition of moldy building materials should be performed by personnel with mold training and suitable PPE. The leaky roof in the Icehouse should be repaired and the drywall damage should be disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations.
