To contract with a company experienced in onsite water blasting and application of submerged surface protective coatings. The City of Bristol operates a 10.75 million gallon per day activated sludge, secondary treatment facility. The facility is outfitted with three 110- foot diameter secondary clarifiers. Each clarifier is outfitted with submerged concrete effluent launders. The concrete effluent launders in the secondary clarifiers are showing signs of significant surface deterioration and require water blasting to remove deteriorated concrete coating and surface preparation for new coating. Immediately after surface preparation, each unit is to be coated with an epoxy protective finish suitable for the intended service.
