A. Disposal of fruit collected from various eradication projects requiring immediate burial at a minimum depth of three feet (3 feet). B. Delivery of the fruit for disposal to occur 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday. Deliveries will be coordinated by CDFA's site project coordinator. Contractor Responsibilities A. The contractor will allow the immediate disposal and immediate burial. B. Fruit must be disposed of at the landfill by being buried in a deep pit, trench, or other style of hole dug on site in accordance with regulatory protocols at a minimum dept of three feet (3 feet). C. Invoices must include the contract number, Contractor's company name, mailing address, phone and fax numbers, service location, and service billing period. Send invoices to: CDFA Contract representative (shall be detailed in official award documents) CDFA Responsibilities A.CDFA Is responsible for handling/transporting of fruit to landfills. Fruit disposal requirements are as follows: 1) Fruit collected will require immediate burial. 2) CDFA must inform the landfill scale operator that they are disposing of fruit that requires immediate burial (special handling). Note- All customers with loads requiring immediate burial are subject to delays while site personnel arrange burial locations. 3) CDFA will ensure that fruit is double bagged and tarped prior to landfill entry. 4) CDFA staff or subcontractor(s) shall dump fruit where directed by landfill staff or designee.
