a. The Contractor shall perform additional legionella water testing at the facility at locations identified in table 4.1. This shall be performed utilizing methods established according to standards set by US. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Maryland Department of the Environment Clean Water Act, National Infection Prevention and Control, Environmental Protection Agency (Safe Drinking Water Act). b. Testing shall be performed twice per month at identified areas during water restrictions and quarterly once restrictions have been lifted and results are negative. d. Awarded Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary. e. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable industry standards, laws and regulations as applies to Federal, State, and local government jurisdictions. f. The Contractor shall utilize a laboratory accredited to recognize standard for routine Legionella test methods (ISO/IEC 17025, etc.). Such laboratory shall have the capacity to save samples and Legionella isolates from samples for additional characterization if necessary. g. Reports I. The Contractor shall provide a written report of findings with recommendations. II. The Contractor shall provide documentation verifying the results of testing: • don’t provide a measure of health risk, and • aren’t predictive of disease. III. When conditions represent a potential health hazard, the Contractor shall immediately inform the Department. The method of communication shall be established at the start of the contract.
