The following specification provides background information and step-by-step instructions for cleaning of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy’s (ILEA) indoor shooting range located at 5402 South County Road 700 East in Plainfield, Indiana. The cleaning will include all shooting lanes, backstops, rail systems, ventilation system inlets, common areas, and surrounding office spaces within the range. The purpose of this contract is to engage an external Cleaning Contractor to perform cleaning and maintenance services for an indoor shooting range. This specification assumes the Cleaning Contractor has prior experience in shooting range cleaning and is familiar with both the shooting range cleaning process and materials necessary to complete the cleaning process. The ILEA’s ultimate goal for the cleaning activities is to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic environment for shooters and staff while adhering to health and safety regulations. Due to the potential presence of lead to be encountered during the cleaning process, strict adherence to safety protocols contained within this specification is mandatory.
