The purpose of this Request for Qualification/Request for Proposal (“RFQ”) process is to allow the District to establish a shortlist of qualified full-service consulting firms or individuals (each, a “Consultant”) for related inspection work associated with various District projects such as reconstruction/ modernization, alterations, portable classroom additions, special projects to include pre-kindergarten facilities and new construction projects, as well as, work associated with the recent passage of the $318 million local General Obligation Bond approved by the voters on November 8, 2016, known as Measure J. The Measure J construction program includes such projects as modernization/ reconstruction, alterations, and new construction. The Measure J list of projects for the Request for Proposal portion of this RFQ/RFP is defined in Exhibit A - SCOPE OF WORK FOR THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL for your reference. Subsequent to the District’s establishment of the shortlist, the District will, as deemed necessary by and at the sole discretion of the District, enter into negotiations with the top-ranked firms or individuals. The District may enter into Agreements with more than one firm or individual upon award by the Board of Education. Each Consultant responding to this RFQ should be prepared and equipped to provide full service to the District in an expeditious and timely manner and on relatively short notice so as to enable the District to meet critical time deadlines and schedules.
