A. MOWING - In residential and commercial areas, grass shall be cut to a maximum height of three (3) inches. On open and vacant lots and the adjoining public rightof-way between the lot and adjacent street(s), grass shall be cut to a maximum of four (4) inches. The cuttings shall be removed from the sidewalks, driveways, and street frontage by use of mechanical blower. Excessive grass debris generated by the Contractor shall be removed from the lot and all costs shall be included in your unit price. B. EDGING - Grass shall be neatly edged and trimmed around all plant beds, curbs, walks, roadways, trees, plants, and buildings. Use of "weedeaters" is discouraged around tree trunks. Use of chemicals for edging is prohibited without prior written authorization from the City. Excessive edging debris generated by the Contractor shall be removed from the lot and all costs shall be included in your unit price. C. TRIMMING - Dead branches and excessive growth shall be removed from trees, shrubs, fencelines, and ground covers. No trimming shall be performed that alters the shape, height, and fullness with respect to the intended character of the plantings. All trimming debris generated by the Contractor shall be removed from the lot and all costs shall be included in your unit price. D. TRASH AND DEBRIS REMOVAL - Trash and debris located on a lot prior to the Contractor performing any Work including, but not limited to, demolition and removal of dilapidated sheds and fences, decayed/decaying building materials, household furniture/furnishings, appliances, mechanical or transportation parts, tires, fallen trees up to 12” in diameter, limbs, cuttings, garbage, paper products, discarded metal, glass and wood products shall be collected and removed from the lot. All trash and debris generated by the Contractor shall be removed from the lot and all costs shall be included in the unit price. E. UNDERBRUSH AND TREE SKIRTING - Underbrush shall be cut and trees skirted to a height eight (8) feet from ground level to allow for a non-obstructive view of the lot. All limbs and underbrush debris generated by the Contractor shall be removed from the lot and all costs shall be included in the unit price.
