UTMB CMC seeks a Semi-automated prescription packaging machine which will be housed in a large-volume outpatient pharmacy and will be used to decrease pharmacy prescription throughput time through its Semiautomated packaging and sealing capabilities. The unit will package medication in specified blister cards. a. Minimum Requirements: i. Space Requirements: 1. Must fit in 10 ft. by 12 ft. space leaving sufficient space for staff to work. ii. Electrical requirements: 1. 240 VAC, 1Phase, 20 Amps iii. Compressed Air: 1. 100 PSI, 15 SCFM iv. Temperature Range: 1. 90-400-degree Fahrenheit v. Features: 1. Motorized Medication filling system with adjustable speed and easy-to-change brushes 2. Tool-less changeover of the filling system 3. Stainless steel and anodized aluminum construction to allow for easy cleaning vi. Output 1. Must produce a minimum of 10 completed medication blister cards per minute. vii. Labeling: 1. Must meet Texas State Board of Pharmacy labeling requirements for Class C pharmacies and be customizable to meet the requirements of the Pharmacy’s existing automation including layout, content, and barcode. The system must allow for label customization as business and regulatory needs change. The system must be able to label a completed blister card.
