The City of Upper Arlington is seeking a qualified vendor to provide fiber infrastructure design and build services for two fiber connections between the city metropolitan fiber plant and the State of Ohio data center. These two fiber connections will connect the city’s network equipment at the Expedient data center to the State of Ohio datacenter on disparate routes. We would like twenty-four (24) total strands to be spliced and terminated between the two locations, for a total of six pairs in each of the two routes. Additionally, we would like two existing pairs at splice point SP11 to be rerouted along the new SOCC pathway. This will require two additional splices and four pair of terminations. We would like single-mode fiber with appropriate qualities for routing through interior, exterior, aerial and conduit pathways. We would like a minimum strand count of twenty-four for each leg of fiber to accommodate future growth.
