Contracted vendor and a Campus Operations Manager will negotiate days for services to be completed ➢ Mowing: Mow lawn with riding, walk-behind, or push mowers as appropriate and clean sidewalks free of clippings. Clean up excess grass or mow excess grass so there is no clumping. Price is to include frequency of mowing. (Note: Remove and dispose of any trash or debris that may be on the ground prior to mowing.) Mowing includes main campus in Carneys Point, NJ ➢ Trimming: Trim around buildings and around trees. Remove clippings from area and dispose. ➢ Edging: Edge around curbs, sidewalks and concrete drive. Remove clippings from area and dispose. ➢ Cracks & Crevices: Remove all vegetation from pavement cracks and crevices. Dispose of debris. ➢ Fertilizing and Weed & Disease Control: Four rounds of fertilizer and with seasonally appropriate applications of pre-emergent and post-emergent crabgrass and broadleaf week control to the Klinke Green, grass area within the main buildings. (Maintenance to any of the flower beds on the Klinke Green is not included in this RFP,) Weed Control to all islands located throughout campus including those in all areas of the parking lots. Applications of fertilizer and weed control must be scheduled prior to making applications of such. ➢ Over Seeding / Core Aeration: To improve the thickness of existing turf in Klinke Green to improve the air, water and nutrient exchange with the root system. ➢ Spring & Fall Clean-up: Remove leaves, sticks and debris from planting beds and lawn areas. Dispose of debris. This includes ongoing cleanup of leaves until all leaves have fallen. ➢ Irrigation Start-Up and Winterization: Start up and shut down irrigation system. ➢ Flower Beds: Clean out existing flower beds and around Salem Community College main campus sign and Davidow Marque. Plant flowers and mulch around signage area three times a year. Plantings should be approximately, April, July, and September. ➢ Weeding: Weeding of flower beds throughout campus, including the islands located in all parking lots. Weeding should be done once per month from April through September. ➢ Pruning of Tree/Shrubs: Trees and Shrubs to be pruned annually as directed by Manager of Purchasing or Manager of Campus Operations.
