Boot Specifications: The boots being bid must adhere to the following requirements: 1. Must be classified as safety boots 2. Boots shall be leather 3. Shall be 6" to 8" high 4. Shall be ASTM F2413.05 or greater 5. Shall have a composite or steel toe area for a 75 pound impact and compression resistant protection 6. Sole shall be reinforced; oil, water, chemical and slip resistant Miscellaneous Bid Information & Requirements: 1. Vendor shall identify boot being bid. The Town of Islip may select a number of boots that meet the specifications. All boots offered must have manufacturers paper work certifying compliance with the specifications. 2. Vendor shall support and honor all manufacturer's warranties. 3. The Town shall not be responsible for any restocking fees and/or charges. 4. The Town shall only be responsible for $75.00 or the amount set by Collective Bargaining Agreement of the boot cost. Town of Islip employees purchasing boots shall be responsible for any charges in excess of that amount. 5. Vendor shall invoice the Town after employee has accepted the purchased boots. 6. Vendor's invoice shall provide confirmation that the boots meet the TOI specifications, employee name and bid price.
