• The ballistic wall must demonstrate the capability to withstand and mitigate the impact of rifle rounds fired at point-blank range, including but not limited to projectiles up to the .308 Winchester caliber, as verified through independent testing to applicable military or law enforcement standards. • Submittals must include detailed engineering drawings, including positive drainage designed as per the ballistic wall detail drawing. The drawings must also include an engineered, stamped structural design of the wall compliant with relevant building codes and material specifications. • The contractor must have a proven track record of completing at least 10 projects of similar scope, scale, and complexity involving the installation or construction of ballistic-rated barriers, with documentation available for verification. • The contractor must have at least 10 years of continuous operational history performing similar projects within the firearms range industry, with no interruptions to the business’ operations during this period. • The proposed ballistic wall system must have undergone prior testing by recognized ballistic standards and have documented proof of successful performance against specified projectiles. • The contractor shall complete the installation of the ballistic wall within a maximum time frame of 14 calendar days from the date of site preparation and commencement of work, barring unforeseen, uncontrollable circumstances. • The ballistic walls must match in dimension and strength to the existing ballistic walls onsite, including the specification to join walls end to end. The design detail of the existing walls is included in the bid specifications. • The quantity of walls installed as per the contract will be installed in one onsite construction event. • The award of the bid will be based on a combined award amount of a lump sum price for the installation of 20 ballistic wall panels (base bid) and then additionally an individual per panel installed price for an estimated additional quantity of 4 ballistic wall panels • The installed price for the lump sum and the per panel shall include: o Mobilization o Equipment & Fuel o Fabrication o Delivery o Unloading o Site Preparation for Wall Installation o Installation of subbase course minimum 1”-0” of Type 2 NYSDOT Item 304.12 o Installation of Ballistic Concrete Wall Panels
