The selected Utilities Operations Consultant will work at the direction of the university’s representative in consultation with UC Berkeley’s Facilities Services representatives, consultants, engineers and architects, during the design, construction and commissioning phases of the project. The scope of services for the selected Utilities Operations Consultant shall include the following tasks and responsibilities: ● Consult on pre-construction activities. ● Provide pre-construction, construction, and post-construction technical advice, as needed by the university, its consultants and the contractor. ● Provide review, including detailed written comments of the design documents at various review stages. ● Attend meetings with university, project designers, contractors, and other consultants during the design and construction and commissioning phases. Deliverables to include the following: ● Written review comments based on review of design documents and other information related to the operation of the facility. ● Written recommendations and reports to inform university decision making on plant and system design, construction, commissioning, plant operations, and training.
