The work generally includes: 1. Selective removal and demolition of existing civil site improvements, pavement structural sections, and minor clearing and grubbing which may include landscaped areas. 2. Protection of existing overhead and underground utilities throughout construction activities. 3. Water pollution control and site protection measures closed to public facilities that remain open during construction. 4. Subgrade stabilization, placement of base materials, PCC concrete pavement repairs. 5. Constructing concrete site improvements, and restoration of landscaping. 6. Traffic and pedestrian control throughout construction. 7. Repair and modifications to structural concrete bridge abutments. 8. Procurement and installation of a prefabricated steel truss pedestrian bridge. 9. Pour and finish concrete bridge deck over an environmentally sensitive creek.
