1. For Phases A and B, (Non/Live Fire Performance Evaluation), proposers shall submit twenty-one (21) complete SCBAs (including harness & Facepiece), and forty (40) 45- minute cylinders at no cost to the Fire Department. Proposers shall submit their SCBAs and cylinders at the same time as their proposals. Proposers shall submit the SCBA model that they will be initially submitting for NFPA Standard 1970, 2025 Edition Certification. 2. During Phase C of the evaluation (Field Pilot Portion), the FDNY will need thirty-one (31) complete SCBAs (including harness & Facepiece), and hundred (100) 45-minute cylinders will be required from each vendor. 3. “Optional Features” and “Additional Equipment/Devices” will not be evaluated during the performance evaluations unless requested by the FDNY. Proposers shall submit one type of lightweight, durable cylinder that they will be submitting to NFPA for certification. Proposer must also possess the ability to make the proposed cylinder yellow in color (PANTONE 116C). 4. Any “optional features” as defined herein shall be submitted in writing as to what they are, and what they are intended to do. The FDNY will determine which, if any “optional features” are to be evaluated during this evaluation or thereafter. 5. The FDNY may request a demonstration of the “optional features”. The FDNY also reserves the right to ask for any or all “optional features” as defined herein to be turned off if possible, or disconnected if possible.
