Visual Inspection: Check for any obvious damage, leaks, or loose parts on the forklifts. Tire/Wheel Inspection: Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation. Check wheel nuts for tightness. Fluid Level Check: Verify proper levels of engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, and brake fluid (if applicable). Functionality Check: Test all controls, lights, horns, and safety devices for proper operation. Lubrication: Lubricate all moving parts according to manufacturer specifications (chains, bearings, pivot points, etc.). Battery Inspection (Electric Units): Check battery electrolyte levels (if applicable), clean terminals, and inspect for damage. Filter Check: Inspect and clean air filters, hydraulic filters, and fuel filters (if applicable). Chain Inspection (Forklifts): Inspect lift chains for wear, damage, and proper tension. Mast and Carriage Inspection (Forklifts): Inspect for wear, damage, and proper alignment. Check rollers and slides. Hydraulic System Inspection: Check for leaks, hose damage, and proper cylinder operation. Brake System Inspection: Inspect brake pads/shoes, rotors/drums, and adjust brakes as needed. Safety Device Testing: Test all safety devices, including limit switches, alarms, and emergency stop buttons. Comprehensive Inspection: Conduct a thorough inspection of all components according to manufacturer specifications. Fluid and Filter Change: Change engine oil, hydraulic fluid, and all filters. Load Testing: Perform load testing to verify lifting capacity and stability. Fire Extinguisher Inspection: Inspect the forklift fire extinguisher for proper pressure, damage, and expiration, ensuring it is securely mounted and functional. Certification: Provide a written report documenting the inspection, maintenance performed, and certification of the equipment's safety and functionality. Repair Services Contractor shall provide repair services required to keep the equipment fully operational in accordance with manufacturer’s standards. Foreseeable Repairs shall be paid by the State at the Contractor’s Repair Service-Hourly Rates, specified in Exhibit B, Attachment 1, Cost Sheet, Table 2, Foreseeable Repair Services. Unforeseeable Repairs shall be paid by the State at the Contractor’s Repair Rates, specified in Exhibit B, Attachment 1, Cost Sheet, Table 3, Unforeseeable Repair Services. Contractor shall respond to requests for repair service within one (1) business day of notification by the FMD Contract Administrator or FMD Designated Representative. Contractor shall make every attempt to complete repairs the same business day. When a part(s) must be ordered that will delay completion of repairs the same working day, Contractor shall inform the FMD Contract Administrator or FMD Designated Representative immediately.
