Assessment Phase o Work with Berkshire Park Plan Steering Committee to assess current park usage and inventory current infrastructure, safety and accessibility to identify inefficiencies and needed improvements. o Work with Berkshire Park Plan Steering Committee to inventory current amenities and identify needed upgrades for safety, accessibility and utilization. o Assess under-utilized areas, amenities and activities. o Work with the Berkshire Park Plan Steering Committee to develop and implement a plan to communicate and engage the public and local stakeholder organizations, municipal officials, elected leaders, community organizations and Berkshire residents to identify the current community perception and usage of George Smith Memorial Park and help define mission, vision and long-term plan that is attainable and will serve the needs of the community as well as attract outside user groups for events. A minimum of two public meetings is required. The first public meeting purpose is to solicit the Berkshire community’s ideas and needs for Park improvements during this Assessment phase.
