Mill and Fill Chestnut Hill Rd – (Phillips Rd to End, approx. 1600’ L x 25’ W) • Class III State Highway; 100-500 ADT • Scope: Cold planed and paved. The contractor will be responsible for cold planing the existing pavement to an average depth of 1.5” and applying a 1.5” wear course of Type III. All driveways and intersections with adjoining paved surfaces shall be provided with a butt joint in accordance with the “Handwork Detail for Drives” and 10’ butt joints shall be provided at intersections. The City will be responsible for the elevation adjustment of all catch basins, manholes, and valves. The existing curb will be retained. Contractor shall work with the City to provide ample time to adjust structures as needed. Dewey St – (Sunnyside Terr to Redstone Ave, approx. 400’ L x 19’ W) • Class III State Highway; 100-500 ADT • Scope: Cold planed and paved. The contractor will be responsible for cold planing the existing pavement to an average depth of 1.5” and applying a 1.5” wear course of Type III. All driveways and intersections with adjoining paved surfaces shall be provided with a butt joint in accordance with the “Handwork Detail for Drives” and 10’ butt joints shall be provided at intersections. The contractor will be responsible for the construction of a monolithic bituminous asphalt curb on the downhill lane. If the contractor doesn’t have the ability to install a monolithic bituminous curb (cape cod berm) then the alternate bid item for additional traditional style bituminous concrete curb must be filled out. Dwinell St – (Redstone Ave to Clarendon Ave, approx. 450’ L x 19’ W) • Class III State Highway; 100-500 ADT • Scope: Cold planed and paved. The contractor will be responsible for cold planing the existing pavement to an average depth of 1.5” and applying a 1.5” wear course of Type III.
