1. ASPHALT REMOVAL: a. Remove existing asphalt over two (2) areas of the Long Lake Public Water Access. i. Refer to site photos that follow. 2. SITE PREP & AGGREGATE: a. Furnish a total of approximately fifteen cubic yards (15 CY) Class 5 gravel, deliver, place, and evenly spread most of the aggregate over each area. i. Reserve appropriate amount of aggregate to be used for completion of item 7, below. b. Grade, roll to compact, and finish each area to properly prepare for paving. 3. PAVING & FINISHING: a. Furnish bituminous pavement, deliver, place, and appropriately pave approximately three inches (3 in) of compacted asphalt on/over each area as detailed: i. Area 1: Measures approximately eighty feet (80 ft) by nineteen feet (19 ft) going directly uphill from boat ramp 1. estimated 1,520 square feet (sq ft) total ii. Area 2: Measures approximately nineteen feet (19 ft) by forty feet (40 ft) north of the boat ramp following old/existing asphalt surface area and widening up to the edge of the hill. 1. estimated 760 square feet (sq ft) total b. Compact with steel drum and pneumatic roller c. Backfill edges with remaining furnished base gravel 4. CLOSEOUT: a. Clean all work areas to be free of debris produced during the project and ensure site is left in a manner appropriately safe for public use. b. Legally DISPOSE of all project-related and Contractor-created wastes/debris, including removed asphalt, at Contractor’s own expense off-site according to all laws, rules, and regulations.
