Clackamas County is seeking Proposals from vendors to provide a County Parks system plan. The plan will consist of priorities that reflect community aspirations and perspectives, and can be used to guide decision-making and planning regarding park operations and service levels. The Plan will: • Identify community values related to County Parks • Identify mission, goals and objectives of County Parks • Assess current assets, including property, staffing levels, funds, etc. • Define and clarify the unique role of County Parks in relation to other parks and recreation agencies in the county and the region • Consider the role of County Parks in terms of recreation, tourism, natural resource protection, economic development, and historical and cultural resource preservation. • Review and analyze past parks plans; plans for other comparable agencies in the region, the state and the nation, and trends in park management and operations. • Result in a final report with key findings, recommended actions to support a long-term, sustainable parks system, and proposed tools for future studies and decision-making.
