This project will construct a new College of Medicine Building which will be located at the corner of Madison Ave and Dudley St. The existing College of Medicine facilities, primarily located in the 910, 920, and 930 Madison Avenue buildings, are outdated and insufficient to meet the growing enrollment and instructional demands of UTHSC’s health professional programs. These buildings are beyond their useful life and lack the technological infrastructure, flexible instructional space, and collaborative learning environments necessary for modern medical education. This new facility is a critical element of the campus-wide strategy to modernize UTHSC’s academic core, replacing functionally obsolete facilities with new, purpose-built space designed to support interdisciplinary education and expanded class sizes.
