The MEP Engineer will be responsible for preparing and providing detailed design documentation for the proper installation of the emergency generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS). This design work must comply with all relevant state and local regulations, including but not limited to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 110, National Electrical Code (NEC), and any other applicable municipal and state requirements. The selected firm will be responsible for the following professional services: 1. System Integration: Design the integration of the emergency generator and ATS into the existing electrical infrastructure at Portland City Hall, ensuring proper functionality and compatibility with the existing building systems. Provide detailed electrical single-line diagrams, system schematics, and wiring diagrams to support the installation of the generator and ATS. 2. Coordination with Other Trades: Work closely with other contractors (civil, structural, mechanical, etc.) involved in the project to ensure smooth integration and proper installation of the emergency power systems. Address and resolve any potential conflicts with other systems during installation.
