The Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB) seeks proposals from qualified vendors who have a license in ophthalmology or optometry. The professionals responding would be willing to provide consultation on an intermittent basis to MCB staff tasked with registering consumers with the Agency. To become registered for services with MCB, one must obtain a clinical diagnosis of legal blindness from a licensed professional. As medical and clinical reports may not be clear to staff that are not eye professionals, MCB seeks assistance in the interpretation of some of the mandatory reports. These mandatory reports indicate whether the person receives a legal blindness diagnosis, thus, qualifying them for MCB services.
