1. Ultimate disposal of all waste must occur in Texas unless there are no Treatment, Storage & Disposal (TSO) facilities for that particular waste in the State. 2. All waste to be incinerated unless specifically prohibited by Federal or State of Texas regulations. 3. Vendor must have a computerized waste profile system available to the University. 4. Vendor must have electronic manifesting available to the University. 5. Vendor must provide completed paperwork for all waste shipments where required. 6. Vendor must provide all federal DOT and OSHA-compliant labels for all waste being shipped. 7. Vendor must provide proof of and maintain insurance coverage, see attached insurance requirements. 8. Vendor must have previous experience handling academic lab pack waste and be able to provide references. Contractors serving the campus must be trained for all hazards they are being asked to lab pack, neutralize, and remove. 9. Vendor must own their own treatment and disposal facilities for at least 75% of waste to be generated at your site. 10. Vendor must provide an audited copy of the closure plan. What does this mean? 11. Vendor facilities and records must be available for on-site audit by our audit team.
