(a) Curbside and optional rear yard refuse collection, removal, and disposal, twice a week from every occupied residence and business establishment and municipal facilities within the Township. The Contractor shall also furnish containers for all municipal facilities as specified in the Bid Documents. (b) Twice a week curbside collection of seasonal material from all occupied residences within the Township. Seasonal items consist of bagged lawn cuttings, bundled twigs and branches 3-4 inches in diameter and other bagged garden materials. Bagged leaves are to be included EXCEPT during the Township’s Leaf Collection program which usually occurs from October to end of December each year; and (c) Curbside collection once a month (last regular collection day of the month of bulky household items from all residences within the Township, Residential bulk pick up is limited to a maximum of five (5) bulky items per household. The weight of each individual item must not exceed 150 pounds. Items must be able to fit into the hopper of a garbage truck and be able to be crushed. Bulk pick up items shall include, but not be limited to, furniture, appliances, rugs and carpets rolled and tied in 4 foot lengths weighing no more than 50 pounds, clothing, toys, screens, doors, branches 3-4 inches in diameter in bundles (not to exceed 4 feet in length), garden and lawn trimmings in bags, and automobile tires removed from rim. (If Contractor cannot collect tires during normal collection route, Contractor must provide for special collection of tires whereby residents call Contractor and list of collections is developed). Bulk pickup includes one (1) garbage can up to 50 gallon capacity (which shall count as one item) and weighing no more than 50 lbs. when full, of construction and demolition debris, meaning small amounts of wood, wallboard, tiles, sheetrock, and wooden shingles from small scale construction, remodeling, repair, or demolition operations on houses, can be placed for collection. Concrete and asphalt, rocks and dirt are not acceptable.
