Task 1. Compiling existing data The Consultant will gather existing data as part of the development of a baseline assessment. This will include (non-exhaustively) reviewing the Town Forest Bylaws, property boundaries, trail information, and Hampton’s Natural Resource Inventory. Task 2. Conducting field-based assessments and marking property boundaries The Consultant will conduct field research and compose a Baseline Documentation Report (BDR) that includes a summary of current conditions and ecological values of the Town Forest. The BDR should include an inventory of the trail system, signage, invasive species, native and noteworthy species, pests and diseases, and habitat types. The field work will also include marking some property boundaries, specifically, where the privately owned parcels begin, and the North Hampton town border.
