Project consists of the historic restoration of the circa 1935 Dania Beach Woman’s Club. The building is being restored to its early 20th century appearance. The building size is approximately 1545 s.f. The work consists of the following: Renovation of an existing circa 1935 historic wood frame building, including structural repairs, new insulation, roofing, a new AC system, repair of the existing plumbing system, and painting, and miscellaneous repairs. The Dania Beach Womans Club is a significant historic resource. Compliance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation is required. This Section establishes general requirements pertaining to cutting (including excavating), fitting, and patching of the Work required to: 1. Make the several parts fit properly; 2. Uncover work to provide for installing, inspecting, or both, of ill-timed work; 3. Remove and replace work not conforming to requirements of the Contract Documents; and 4. Remove and replace defective work. Related work: 1. Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily limited to, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and Sections in Division 1 of these Specifications. 2. In addition to other requirements specified, upon the Architect's request uncover work to provide for inspection by the Architect of covered work, and remove samples of installed materials for testing. 3. Do not cut or alter work performed under separate contracts without the Architect's written permission.
