1. Hardware and Software Procurement • Proposer shall supply all hardware and software necessary to support the upgrade of GBT’s HPE SimpliVity and VMware environment. • GBT will provide an approved parts list including HPE SimpliVity hardware, software HPE Installation configuration, and VMware/Microsoft licensing part numbers. • Proposer must submit an itemized pricing list for all requested hardware, software, and labor. • Proposer shall include pricing for both 3-year and 5-year HPE SimpliVity service and support options. • GBT will provide part numbers for approved HPE networking components (e.g., switches) for integration into GBT’s existing infrastructure. • In the event any part becomes unavailable or obsolete at the time of proposal submission, the proposer may recommend an equivalent or superior replacement. All substitutions must be clearly identified with justification for the change. 2. Installation and Configuration • Install and fully configure the new HPE SimpliVity infrastructure. • Configure VMware software and migrate all production virtual machines from the current environment with minimal downtime. • Configure and integrate provided HPE networking switches into GBT’s current network environment. • Enable and configure HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) on all SimpliVity host systems. • Apply necessary firmware and software updates to ensure compatibility between existing virtual servers and the new environment to ensure all systems are in the best posable state to migration of production servers to the new environment. 3. Labor Services Options • Proposers may use the HPE configuration and deployment service part numbers provided or propose use of their own qualified technicians to provide this work. • Proposals must clearly indicate which approach is being offered. With a breakdown of proposed labor by task including the amount of time and pricing for each • Regardless of method, the vendor will be responsible for the complete system implementation and production migration.
