1. The project work to be performed by the Contractor consists of the replacement of the existing flare at the Perdido Landfill. This generally includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, incidentals, and performing all work necessary to complete the project, in place and ready for service in accordance with the Plans and Specifications prepared therefore and entitled “2025 Flare System Modifications”. The work generally includes but is not limited to the following items: a. Demolition of existing flare station and/or subsequent disposal. b. Installation of below grade high-density polyethylene (HDPE) LFG header, air supply line, and drain line. Header appurtenances also to be installed include, but are not limited to, check valves, flow meters, and blind flanges. c. Procurement and installation of proposed Blower Skid and Flare System. d. Connection of all electrical wiring to new flare skid. Providing conduit seals on all electrical piping to ensure no intrusion of landfill gas. e. Coordination with utilities for electrical connections f. Tie-in to existing GCCS and Gas to Energy Plant piping. g. System start-up and testing. h. Grading and restoring site conditions i. Conformance surveying. j. Providing as-built documentation (record drawings). k. All related work as shown on the contract drawings and as specified in the contract documents. 2. Site of the Work a. The project work of this Contract is located near Cantonment, Escambia County, Florida, and as shown on the title sheet of the drawings. The Escambia County Waste Services Department currently operates the landfill. b. The contractor shall be aware of the nature of the activities at a landfill which may restrict access to the portions of the site due to general landfill operations.
