This project includes installation and/or upgrades to pedestrian signals at eight signalized intersections throughout the City of Watertown to improve pedestrian safety. Work will include new ADA complaint accessible pedestrian signals (APS) with countdown timers along with new ADA compliant pushbuttons. In addition, handicap ramps will be upgraded to meet ADA compliance. Work will also include installation of new poles, pullboxes, conduit, wiring and controllers (where necessary) and crosswalk pavement markings. Work will be performed at the following intersections: • Arsenal Street (NYS Route 3) at Sherman Street • Arsenal Street (NYS Route 3) at North/South Massey Street • Coffeen Street (NYS Route 12F) at Howk Street • Coffeen Street (NYS Route 12F) at Vanduzee • Mill Street (US Route 11) at East/West Main Street (NYS Route 12E) • Washington Street (US Route 11) at Clinton/Sterling Street • Washington Street (US Route 11) at Academy/Mullin Street • Washington Street (US Route 11) at Brook Drive/Watertown High School
