The Comprehensive update shall consider the following elements: • Consistency with the 2024-2034 Plan of Conservation and Development • Review of permitted uses in zones • Simplification of regulatory process where appropriate • Review and recommendations for housing regulations including accessory dwelling units, affordability, and incentives • Exploration of the appropriateness of floating zones or overlay districts to achieve policy goals • Establishment of general standards related to provisions such as lighting, landscaping, sedimentation and erosion controls, and stormwater management • Review and recommendations for signage regulations • Assessment of current parking standards • Online accessibility to Regulations and Zoning Map through the Town’s GIS; The Town Planner will serve as support staff throughout the regulation update. The successful candidate shall include a public engagement component in their proposal which provides opportunity for interested parties to participate and provide feedback when appropriate.
