● Demolition: Demolition of up to three existing buildings (B, C and D) from the historic Anna Head complex. ● Student Housing: New student housing should be designed to support the values of the campus’ residential life programs, fostering an inclusive sense of community and cooperative learning. The project should reflect an understanding of student culture, market preferences and financial capacity. Living spaces should facilitate social, intellectual, physical, and emotional health and wellness. The University anticipates between 1,300 to 1,800 suite-style beds on the site, dependent on financial proformas. ● Dining Commons: A new point of sale dining commons will serve the student occupants of the Project. The dining commons should reflect market trends and preferences and demonstrate efficient design. ● A successful design will consider the historic context of the site, history of the school and the urban context. ● The concept design provided in the first phase of this project will be used for California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documentation and University project approvals. The University is the Lead Agency under CEQA for preparation and review of all environmental documents prepared for the project. CEQA services are not included in this procurement.
