1.3.1 GROUP A – INTERFOLDED TOILET TISSUE Interfolded Tissue shall be new, unused, and a currently standard product of an established manufacturer. Tissue shall be fully bleached (white), uniform in color and trimmed with clean smooth edges. Tissue shall be clean, soft, and free of imperfections and/or defects (i.e. visible wood splinters, specks, holes, tears, wrinkles, etc) which might affect normal life or serviceability. Tissue shall have no disagreeable odor, either wet or dry. The listed product or equivalent product of United States origin is preferred. For Group A, all virgin content shall be sourced from responsibly managed forests and be Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified or the Minimum Recycled Content shall be not less than 20% post-consumer recovered material of the total weight. Bidder shall submit documentation verifying FSC certification if offering a product with different brand/product number than the one listed. Item No. 1 Interfolded, single-fold, 1-ply. Approximately 4” x 5” sheets or approximately 4” x 8” sheets to fit 5”W x 9”H x 3”D dispenser, 250- 400 sheets per package, 36-60 packages per case. Toilet tissue shall fit existing dispensers (Georgia-Pacific 10101, or equivalent). 1.3.2 GROUP B - TOILET TISSUE Roll Tissue, 1-ply or 2-ply, as specified, shall be new, unused, and a currently standard product of an established manufacturer. Tissue shall be evenly and tightly wound on a paperboard core sufficiently rigid to prevent collapse under ordinary conditions. Tissue shall be perforated so the sheets can be cleanly and completely separated. Tissue shall be clean, soft, and free of imperfections and/or defects (i.e. visible wood splinters, specks, holes, tears, wrinkles, etc) which might affect normal life or serviceability. Tissue shall have no disagreeable odor, either wet or dry. Under ordinary use, tissue shall not break or tear excessively into small pieces when being unwound; this creates unnecessary waste.
