The scope of work includes: · Dredging: Complete removal of solids to ensure no material remains on the pond bottom. · Dewatering: Process solids to meet receiving landfill requirements (typically 13-15% solids). · Disposal: Transport and dispose of dewatered sludge at landfill selected by contractor. Contractors are responsible for the handling and disposal of solids once they leave the WWTP site. Please note, to legally dispose of dewatered sludge in a Georgia municipal solid waste landfill: · The landfill must be permitted by Georgia EPD to accept such material. · The sludge must meet state and federal standards for stabilization and safety. · The activity is governed by Georgia Rules for Solid Waste Management, Chapter 391-3-4, in coordination with federal regulations at 40 CFR Part 503. Solids from the dewatering process at Coppermine WRF are currently disposed into the Taylor County landfill. 240-volt temporary electricity is available at the Owner’s expense for contractor’s use on site via Greystone power company through receptacles at various locations
