The City of Huntsville is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary to enclose two (2) existing lean-to bays (each measuring approximately 25’ x 40’) at the Fleet Building. The work shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Concrete Work: Saw cutting the existing slab, installation of reinforced concrete beams, doweling, forming sheet ledges, and construction of ramps at personnel doorways to prevent trip hazards. Framing and Structural Work: Installation of 8” purlins and structural framing to match the existing building, including framing for two (2) new 14’ x 16’ roll-up doors and two (2) personnel doors. Wall and Roof Covering: Installation of exterior metal sheeting and trim to match existing building finishes; installation of ¾” plywood on interior walls; termination and relocation of gutters and downspouts as needed. Insulation: Installation of 3” vinyl-reinforced insulation on new walls and under the existing roof panels of the lean-to bays. Door Installation: Installation of two (2) 3070 personnel doors with closures and locks, and two (2) 14’ x 16’ non-insulated roll-up doors with manual chain drives. Electrical Work: Installation of new light fixtures to match existing shop lighting, including eight (8) high-bay fixtures, wall-mounted entry lighting, switches, outlets, and relocation of exterior lighting and security camera. No flooring work, fans, HVAC, or plumbing requested.
