Approval of the recommended action will authorize the Project and Facilities Management Department (PFMD) to solicit for competitive bids for the Rosena Ranch Fire Station A(Project) located in San Bernardino County. The project will construct a modern 15,700-square-foot facility that will house both a fire station and a sheriff’s substation, with approximately 12,800 square feet allocated to the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCFPD) and 2,900 square feet to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s (Sheriff) Department. SBCFPD and the Sheriff provide critical emergency services to the expanding communities of Rosena Ranch and Lytle Creek. The state-of-the-art facility will enhance SBCFPD’s ability to provide expanded emergency services and maintain public safety in the area. This project supports the County’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and efficient operations while addressing the safety, health, and social service needs of its residents.
