All air filters must be manufactured in the United States. All air filters provided under this contract are to be new, first quality, high efficiency, industrial grade air filters, not economy or home grade air filters. All filters will be rated MERV 8 or greater as per ASHRAE Standard 52.2. All filters provided will not be any larger than specified and can be within one quarter (1/4) inch smaller of exact sizes. Initial resistance of filters will not exceed the following: One-inch (1”) filters: 0.15 “w.g. at 300 fpm or greater Two-inch (2”) filters: 0.26 “w.g. at 492 fpm or greater Four-inch (4”) filters: 0.19 “w.g. at 492 fpm or greater All air filters will be plainly marked on the frame with the manufacturer’s name, size, and direction of air flow. Air filters will not be cut down or altered, taped, stapled or otherwise attached together to create the required size and/or thickness. Examples of air filters that meet the above specifications are Filtration Group Series 400 High Capacity; Flanders Pre Pleat 40 LPD High Capacity; Purolator Defiant Mark 80-D. Air filters will be ordered on a quarterly basis. Quantities ordered each quarter may vary. The County reserves the right to order at additional times during the year if necessary.
