Install playground equipment that meets or exceeds ASTM F1487 and CPSC Public Playground Safety Handbook standards. Ensure proper surfacing and spacing to minimize risk of injury. 2. Design Phase: Successful bidder shall: Conduct a site assessment to determine optimal equipment layout and orientation. Prepare design drawings or 3D renderings for client approval Ensure designs cater to two primary age groups: o Ages 2-5 (Tot play area) o Ages 5-12 (General play area) Include impact attenuation zones and fall zones in design. 3. Equipment Specifications: Swings: o At least one bay for ages 2-5 with bucket seats. o At least one bay for ages 5-12 with belt swings. Slides: o At least one low-height slide (4ft or less) for toddlers. o At least one medium to tall slide (up to 6ft) for older children. Equipment must be durable, weather-resistant, and constructed for commercial-grade materials (e.g., powder-coated steel, HDPE, rotomolded plastic). All equipment to include manufacturer’s certification of safety compliance. 4. Site Preparation: Clear vegetation/debris from the designated area. Grade site to ensure proper drainage and foundation leveling. Install edging (timber, rubber, or concrete) to contain safety surfacing.
