1. Complete a Classification and Compensation Study of comparable communities who are providing equitable services, and 2. Compare staffing structure with comparable communities; and 3. Based on that study, determine if changes to existing position job titles and descriptions are needed; and 4. Prepare and/or update job descriptions for all positions listed in the Request for Proposals. The consultant will be responsible for preparing a draft of these position descriptions; and 5. Based on that study, prepare a comparative analysis that identifies the Town of Dartmouth’s competitive position in a comparative labor market, including comparative Town employers, and 6. Based on that study, provide a recommendation for total salaries and benefits, including the total compensation package of insurance and other benefits (including paid leave), and including a recommended compensation policy, and, 7. Based on that study, prepare recommendations for compensation rules, policies and implementation, to maintain competitiveness, ensure equity, and position the organization for future development. 8. Based on that study, comment on staffing levels by department.
