Clearing of brush and trees from the levee embankment. Subgrade preparation and placement of a drainage blanket (riprap on a geotextile fabric). Upgrades to the pump station, including new fencing and new pumps, motors, piping, and controls. Replacement of the existing inlet/outlet works, including paved road restoration. Dredging and construction of a sediment trap, and disposal of sediment on-site. Subgrade preparation and construction of an aggregate access drive. Construction of guardrail and restoration of the site as indicated on the plans. Temporary cofferdam required for construction of new inlet works, and temporary by-pass pumping required as needed when pump station is off line. Additive alternates include installation of a debris boom, extension of the drainage blanket over a larger area, and construction of a shoreline revetment on the lake side of the levee.
