Cases remaining from previous deliveries shall be rotated in a manner to ensure that the unused products will be used first. Rotation is at the direction of the School Nutrition Manager. B. Three types of milk must be available at all times. C. Milk/dairy products’ temperatures at the time of delivery shall be not more than 41 degrees Fahrenheit and WCSD not less than 35 degrees Fahrenheit. D. Vendor shall remove empty crates each delivery day. E. On the day before Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and on the last day of school, all unused cartons of fresh milk are to be picked up and removed from the schools. Credit tickets shall be issued to the School Nutrition Manager at the time of pick-up. F. All milk containers shall be delivered in milk crates. If the milk crate is not the standard size steel/plastic type, the Vendor must submit a sample of the crate along with bid. G. All fresh milk furnished and delivered to the Wheeler County Schools shall be Grade “A” and shall be pasteurized or homogenized. H. All milk and dairy products must be produced in compliance with the conditions, regulations, and requirements of the WCSD, U. S & Georgia Department of Agriculture and the Georgia Department of Health. I. All half pint paper containers shall be plastic coated of the Pure-Pak type, sanitary, clean, leak proof, and with tops or lids that open properly. If containers are not of this type, Vendor shall submit a sample of the container along with bid. J. Credits will be given by the supplier for any product shortage, defective packages or unsatisfactory products as deemed by the School Nutrition Department. All deficiencies need to be noted, dated and initialed by the driver and SN employee on the invoice.
