2.1 HVAC System Removal: • Disconnect the old HVAC unit from all utilities, including power and ductwork, ensuring compliance with all local safety codes and regulations. • Safely remove the existing HVAC unit and any ancillary components such as thermostats, wiring, refrigerant lines, and ventilation ducts that are to be replaced. • Properly dispose of the old system and any removed materials in compliance with California disposal regulations. • Ensure that all hazardous materials (e.g., refrigerant) are handled per EPA and local regulations. 2.2 New HVAC Unit Installation: • Supply and install a new HVAC system, including but not limited to the unit itself, refrigerant lines, power wiring, thermostat, ductwork, and any other components necessary for proper operation. • The system must be energy-efficient and meet any required specifications, such as SEER2 rating and BTU capacity, etc. • Install a new thermostat or control system, ensuring compatibility with the new HVAC unit • Confirm that all components of the new system are properly connected and tested.
