• Divide the county into sub regions and collect data for: o Household projections o Households by age and income with projections o Employment concentrations and commuting modes and patterns o Housing tenure by age and income o Housing types by age, type, value, rental rates, and affordability o Building permits by type o An analysis of the affordability of housing units to households at various levels of income o Home sales by type and price point • Identify and interview key stakeholders to gain insight into the housing issues and demand for different types of housing. • Identify existing and approved affordable housing by type (family, senior, special needs) and by subregion to compare to the potential need for affordable housing. • Analyze the housing gaps countywide and by sub-region based on the above. • Analysis of market demand and housing need to accommodate population growth. • Analysis of housing needs for population with disabilities of varying types. • Study demographic composition of subregions to identify where areas of aged housing inventory may impact seniors and historically disadvantaged populations. • Work with municipalities to identify future housing development sites commensurate with community development plans. • Coordinate with and provide regular updates to the steering committee.
