The purpose of this project is to extend single-phase electric service to the existing Kempton Doser site. Having on-site electric at the site will allow additional components to the system which will improve treatment of the acid mine drainage and decrease the amount of unreacted lime sludge. The project will entail burying and/or boring approximately 7400 feet of 3” schedule 40 PVC conduit through properties owned by Roberta Shoen, Richard Fryfogle/Ricky Mai, and Western Pocahontas Properties Limited Partnership. The contractor will also prepare pads as shown on the details for typical electrical boxes. Once the conduit is installed, Potomac Edison will run single-phase electric lines through the conduit and install all electrical boxes. The project also includes the construction of an access road along a portion of the installed electric line.
